McGee wins Mens Irish Open
Irish Davis Cup player James McGee has won the Green Property Mens Irish Open after defeating the number 1 seed Charles-Antoine Brezac (FRA) in Fitzwilliam LTC on Saturday afternoon.
McGee stormed into an early lead taking the first set 63. In the second set, Brezac broke early to lead 3-0. McGee encouraged by the large home crowd, took the next six games in a row to finish the set 63 and take home his first ever ITF Futures title.

Fitzwilliam LTC will again host the Irish Open Men’s Tennis Championships this year starting on July 18th 2011. This will be a $US 15,000 International Tennis Federation "Futures" event. Qualifying rounds take place on July 16th and 17th.
The event this year is being sponsored by Green Property http://www.green-property.ie/ .
Admission to the matches is free of charge .
